Hello! Thanks for popping by.
Like most people lucky enough to live in Crystal Palace, I love the place and can’t stop raving about it to anyone who will listen. So, since I’m a writer, I decided I had better put this enthusiasm to good use and start a blog.
Whenever I hop off the ginger line into the grand Crystal Palace station I get a sense of ‘Hooray I’m back’ and can quite often happily spend a whole weekend hanging out around the triangle – hence the blog name Crystal Triangle, once you’re in, it’s hard to leave.
For starters, the park is incredible, there’s a national sports centre (complete with Volleyball beach), a melting pot of cultures, the unique triangular high street is refreshingly local without many big chains and there’s a buzz of creativity (and not to mention a pub) on every corner.
And that’s before I’ve even mentioned the dinosaurs, views and vintage shops.
With so much happening all the time in SE19, this blog will document the news, the people, the events and generally everything that brings together the tapestry of this special, vibrant London village. Local photographer Anne Weingarten @Workoutpact will regularly contribute her fantastic pictures.
Please feel free to contact me with any news, pictures or feedback by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or @crystaltriangle on Twitter.
